Need letter draft - stating continuation of employment for two years after their salary increase

priyanka-shinde
Dear Team,

Please help, I am looking for a draft. We have employees whose salary we increase as per their demand. Now, for security and loyalty purposes, the company wants to send them a letter stating the continuation of employment for two years because we feel they are still looking for jobs after their salary increased as per their demand.

Thanks and Regards,
Priyanka Shinde

Hi,

You can't lock employees for another 2 years just by issuing one letter. It is very common for employees to leave the company even after receiving good increments. This is something inevitable. Maybe in the increment letter, you could introduce a 3-month increment reversal clause stating that in the event of resignation within 3 months from the effective date of resignation, management reserves the right to revoke the increment. The permanent solution is to identify the root cause behind this. Analyze your compensation packages for all levels to ensure they are on par with market standards and assess whether a congenial work environment prevails in your office.

You can't follow a bonded labor system that was abolished long ago.
