Hi Connections, can you help me to know about Tamil Nadu leave rules as per the Shops and Establishment Act? For example, how many casual, sick, and earned leaves are allowed?
Every employee is entitled to 12 days of casual leave and 12 days of sick leave for a period of 12 months. In addition to this, an employee who has worked for 12 months shall be given 12 days of earned leave. The unavailed earned leave shall be accumulated up to 45 days.
If an employee accumulates up to 45 days of Earned Leave (EL), should the excess leave be encashed? If so, when should the encashment be processed?
