Should PF be the same for all employees? Is there a specific limit regarding the maximum amount for PF, with the maximum limit being 1800 only? Can it be lower or higher than that?

PF Rate for Employees

The PF rate is the same for all employees, set at 12 percent of the salary. The salary that qualifies for PF contribution means the gross salary excluding compensatory allowances like house rent and incentives, which depend on certain conditions. It may be limited to a salary of Rs 15,000. However, there is no compulsion that PF should be deducted and contributed only on that amount. It can exceed Rs 15,000 as well.
