Facing PF Transfer Rejection Due to EPS Membership? Seeking Advice on Resolution Steps

Hi, my PF transfer is getting rejected due to the following reasons:

Clarification needed through employer

Get clarification through employer registration number. EPS remitted as member has EPS membership since 2012.

I understand that you have joined an organization and need to transfer funds from your old organization to the current one. You joined your previous employment in 2012, which was before the amendment to the Pension scheme in September 2014. The previous employer did not contribute to your Pension fund at the rate of 8.33% of your salary (subject to a maximum of Rs 15,000) but instead contributed 12% to your PF account only.

This is an omission by the previous organization. You need to involve your previous employer and perform a reconciliation of accounts. The employer must prepare a statement of salary, contribution to EPF and Pension, and submit it to the EPFO. Visit the EPFO Office, meet the Accounts Officer, and seek further guidance.
