Hi, As per Sec. 7(3) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, the employer shall arrange to pay gratuity within thirty days from the date it becomes payable to the person to whom the gratuity is payable. You can wait for a reasonable time, and if he is not paying or intentionally delaying without any valid reasons, you can adopt the following approach:
a) Connect with the HR and request them to settle the dues without delay.
b) Send a letter directly to the Managing Director/President.
c) Send a legal notice through an Advocate for quick settlement of gratuity.
d) Lodge a complaint with the Authority for the settlement of gratuity.
