Hi need help understanding 1 point. In private companies, a bonus is paid as 8.33% of the basic salary & it has no bar on the range. This means if 1st employee is getting basic as 10000 & 2nd as 29000 then both bonuses will be calculated @ 8.33% of basic. But as per statutory bonus act rules are - Payable to all employees whose wages do not exceed Rs.21,000 per month & If employee’s wages equal to or more than Rs. 7,000 or the minimum wages fixed by the Government then the bonus is paid as per employee’s wages. So what are the actual rule if bonus is part of ctc.
