If in my company there are some employees whose salary limit crosses $21,000 after including production incentives and overtime, is that employee covered under ESI or not?
Hi, it depends on the frequency of production incentives, whether they are paid on a monthly or quarterly basis. In general, an annual bonus or incentive paid every 3 or 6 months should not attract ESI. However, if the frequency of such payments is on a monthly basis, then it will attract ESI.
