Understanding Work Hours in India: How Many Hours Do You Work Each Day and Week?

Hi Everyone, Please confirm the following working hours in India:

- Working hours per day
- Working hours per week (for 5 days working and 6 days working)
- Maximum hours overtime per day

As per the Factories Act 1948, the daily working hours are 9, and the weekly working hours are 48. Beyond that, overtime is payable. The limit for overtime is 50 hours per quarter, which can be enhanced to 75 hours with the permission of the Factories Inspector.
