Understanding Form 11: Are Hospital Workers in Tamil Nadu Correctly Excluded from EPF?

I wish to inform you of the minimum wages for hospital workers in Tamil Nadu. The Last Grade Servant is receiving a minimum of Basic 9310 + DA 8462 = 17772/-. In this case, if a person is appointed and earns above 15000/-, they are not eligible for PF, but if they earn below 21000/-, they are eligible for ESI.

Form 11 Declaration

Regarding the Form 11 declaration obtained from the individual, which declares them as an excluded member of EPF and a member of ESI, is this procedure correct? Kindly clarify for me, friends.

EPF and ESI Coverage Guidelines

If this is his first employment with EPF, then it is okay. At the same time, if he had worked somewhere and in that company he had PF, then in your company, you should also give him PF. You can restrict the contribution to Rs. 15,000 even if the wages are above it.

ESI Coverage

For coverage of ESI, the ceiling is Rs. 21,000, and as such, he should be given ESI coverage now.

Other than what Mr. Madhu T K has mentioned, it is essential to fill out FORM-11 for all employees who have newly joined the organization, regardless of whether they are covered or non-covered employees under the PF & Misc Act for record.
