Growing Pains: Do We Need to Update Our Shop and Establishment Act Certificate for More Employees?

astha-acharya
Hi all, when a small-sized company grows and the number of employees increases (say from 20 to 30 employees), do we have to apply for any changes in the Shop and Establishment Act certificate that was created earlier? Or do we need to notify the registration authority regarding the increase in the number of employees? Please guide me with your suggestions; it will be of immense help.

Informing Changes in Manpower to S & E Authority

Any change in manpower should be informed to the S & E Authority in the prescribed form. The Authority will endorse changes in the original registration certificate for updating.

Any changes to be effected, whether a change in manpower or address, require you to submit the original RC with the requisite fee. The labor officer shall endorse such changes. (Now you can apply online)
