Considering a Move from Steel to FMCG: Are Compliance and Culture Really Different?

I have been working in the steel industry for a long time and now have the opportunity to work in the FMCG industry. Are the compliance and culture the same in these two industries? Should I proceed to work with the FMCG industry? Please guide.

The compliances needed would depend on the nature of the operations. If both are involved in manufacturing activity, then the requirements as per the Factories Act 1948 remain mostly the same, though there would be some technical variations. However, if the FMCG is not involved in manufacturing activity, then concerning the service sector, the requirements are entirely different.

Regarding Organisational Culture

Every organization is unique, and it would depend on a lot of factors. It has to be seen, studied, and understood in its own way.
