How an Insurance Mix-Up Affected My Loan Application and Job Prospects – Any Advice?

Currently, I'm working in Company A. About two months ago, for insurance purposes, I submitted documents to the insurance company. Unfortunately, they created an agent code for me without my involvement or signatures and assigned two policies under my agent code. This was done without my consent, and the PF amount was contributed only once for me.

Later, when I applied for a personal loan at a bank, it was rejected because my primary active company was listed as this insurance company. Upon discovering this situation, I found that my service was overlapping. I contacted them, requesting to deactivate my member ID under my UAN. I obtained a letter from them stating that I did not accept any offers or sign anywhere, clarifying that the account was created due to their mistake.

I am concerned about how this situation may affect my current or future job prospects. Are there any other ways to resolve this issue?

Your story is not convincing. How come your PF account was created without your signature? It is a difficult matter to close your PF account retrospectively. Once a UAN is created, it remains active, and all accounts are linked to it, which would be reflected upon verification. You will have to actively follow up with the insurance company to rectify the situation. For how long did the insurance company pay PF? Keep all your correspondence with the insurance/EPFO safe to demonstrate your innocence.
