Teachers Day Celebration under EEA - unaware of what we can do on Teachers Day

In our Employee Engagement Activity Calendar (EEA), we have planned a Teachers' Day celebration on 5th September. I am not sure what activities we can organize for Teachers' Day. We are a manufacturing company. Kindly suggest and share your ideas!

Celebrating Teacher's Day in an office may sound a bit unusual, but it is a good idea.

Honoring Mentors and Trainers

On Teacher's Day, you may honor mentors, trainers, and other senior colleagues who have guided and taught others. Employees can be encouraged to share their learning journeys and the mentors they have had. Encourage senior employees to take a pledge to mentor a certain number of juniors in the coming year, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Group Discussions and Workshops

You may plan for a group discussion about the importance of mentorship, the challenges faced, and how to overcome them, allowing for an exchange of experiences and insights. You may invite external trainers or motivational speakers for workshops on mentorship, leadership, or other relevant topics.

You may consider felicitating the HRD team in your organization. You could invite an industry expert to share recent developments in your manufacturing technology. Additionally, you might consider increasing the average training hours or days compared to previous years. Initiating a website (intranet) to share technical news and views, and suitably compensating contributing employees, could also be beneficial.
