Waiting for an Offer Letter from NTT Data: Is a 3-Week Delay Normal or a Red Flag?

sunilachar36
I have 3 years of IT experience. Recently, I attended an interview for NTT Data and cleared all rounds. Salary discussions also took place, and they mentioned that the offer letter would be released within a week. However, it's been more than 3 weeks, and the offer letter has not been released yet. The recruiter is stating that they are waiting for a client update or confirmation. It appears that they cannot proceed with the further process without client confirmation.

Should I wait for NTT, or is this delay usual? Does the process of rolling out the offer letter typically take this long?

Observations on Job Offer Delays

01. First, you need to check the authenticity of the recruiter. In today's scenario, many recruiters are fake and are simply making money by charging registration fees from job seekers. They may have arrangements with companies to arrange interviews, which could lead to fake interviews.

02. Since the company is taking a significant amount of time, you should not wait for this offer letter and consider pursuing other job opportunities.

03. If a company is taking an unusually long time for recruitment, you should consider the company's policies and work environment. It is possible that the company does not have a positive atmosphere. Therefore, I recommend not waiting for or accepting this offer.

Call HR at NTT and inquire about the progress of the offer letter. They are the only people who can help you if the recruiter is not taking action.

Hi Sunil, You mentioned that you cleared all rounds of interviews. Does that include the client round as well? Are you aware if it's an ODC project or a deputation project? Deputation projects include client rounds, and HR cannot share the offer until they receive confirmation from the client. It's better to keep the conversation in the mail and be open to other opportunities as well.

Thanks,
GM
