We are into the manufacturing of auto components in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Kindly advise on adjustments to compensation for exceeding the overtime working limit of 52 hours per month.

The Factories Act 1948 and Overtime Regulations

The Factories Act 1948 provides for a maximum of 12 hours of overtime (OT), and there is no legal method to extend it beyond that. Various organizations have developed informal ways to have work done beyond these limits. However, it is not appropriate to discuss these methods in an open forum.
