Hi, per diem differs from organization to organization. Basically, it will be based on the grade entitlement.

For non-metros, the amount would be a bit lesser compared to metro cities.

It depends upon the class of food and the number of meals.

Breakfast: ₹100
Lunch: ₹300 (Rice + Chapati + Dal + Curry + Salad)
Tea & snacks: ₹50
Dinner: ₹300

You can fix ₹750 for non-metro and ₹1000 for metro per day. You have to adjust according to the grades of employees. Use your discretion because we do not know your company policy or financial soundness. It would be beneficial if you could assign someone to frequently visited cities to conduct a survey.
