Paying a Month's Salary to a Terminated Employee: Do I Need to Cover PF and Compliance?

Hi everyone, can anyone confirm if it is required to pay PF and other compliance if I pay one month's salary to a terminated employee?

Notice pay will not attract PF because it is not an amount earned by the employee while on duty or leave. If you deduct PF, which date will you put as his date of exit? If you put a date one from his actual date of exit, will he be able to join another establishment before that date? No. Therefore, no deduction is to be made from the notice pay that you pay to an employee.
