Work Permits and Compliance for Contractors

Work permits should be issued by the concerned department that is engaging the contractor/contract labor, specifying the particular area of work and safety precautions to be taken.

HR Compliance Checks

From an HR perspective, it is essential to verify whether the contractor has PF & ESI codes. If yes, the compliance status should be checked. If not, compliance under the PE's code will be required. It is also crucial to confirm whether the minimum wages have been paid.
