Is It Mandatory for Our Small R&D Company to Enroll Apprentices on the MHRD Portal?

Hello All, Recently, we received a letter of compliance from the Board of Apprenticeship Training for the enrollment of our company on the MHRD portal to engage apprentices. Ours is an R&D company with an employee strength of 50 members. Can anyone please suggest if it's mandatory for us to enroll and engage apprentices?

Hi, All establishments with a workforce (regular and contract employees) of 30 or more are mandated to undertake Apprenticeship Programs ranging from 2.5% to 15% of their workforce (including direct contractual employees) every year.

Nowadays, many organizations are receiving notices from the Board of Apprenticeship for not following the compliances. The government is providing numerous benefits to develop the skills and employment opportunities for the unskilled and unemployed persons.

Apprenticeship Registration Requirement

All organizations with 30 or more employees need to register and engage apprentices under the NAPS/NATS scheme either directly or through any TPAs.
