Professional Tax for Directors: Do We Need to Pay Again After Salary Deductions?

vnki.s365@gmail.com
If an employee is a director, his/her professional tax is deducted from the salary and remitted on a monthly basis.

Do we need to pay professional tax again as a director?

Hi, Professional Tax, if already paid, does not need to be paid again. Whether the employee is at the Director level or another level, professional tax is subject to the monthly salary slab and should be paid accordingly.

Thanks for your information, sir. Could I get any Government Order (G.O) or notification regarding this?

Company's Contribution Towards Professional Tax

Also, what is the company's contribution towards professional tax per annum, and how do we make the payment - online or offline? On what basis should we remit the Professional Tax for the company? Do we need a unique identification number for the company? Please help me out, sir.
