Is LWF Required for Co-working Spaces in Goa? What About S&E Registration?

Hi, if we have a co-working space in Goa, is LWF applicable or not? If yes, do we need to apply for S&E RC?

The Shops and Establishment Act in Goa, Daman, and Diu was enforced in 1973 and applies to all shops and establishments conducting business. Each business unit, including restaurants, hotels, theatres, residential hotels, and other public entertainment places, must register under the Shops and Establishment Act in Goa. Even though it is a shared place, ensure you have a separate name board and conduct business transactions separately. In that case, Shops & Establishment Registration should be applicable.

Yes, LWF will be applicable, and you will be required to register under SE RC.

Any business that has an office, whether independent or shared space, is required to obtain a license from Shops & Commercial Establishment. LWF is applicable to all organizations, and the same must be submitted twice a year. Employee contribution is Rs. 60, employer contribution is Rs. 180, making the total Rs. 240 for 6 months.
