In the month of March, I was informed that my performance for the year was not satisfactory, which was true, and I was transferred to a new city for business requirements. I was told that this transfer was an alternative to avoid a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). I readily accepted and moved to the new city.
Since only one month was left in the financial year, I managed to do decent business, and the new financial year started. Recently, in June, I submitted my resignation citing personal reasons and requested early relieving, which was agreed upon, and the resignation was accepted in the Darwinbox portal. I am currently serving my notice period. Today, my company's appraisal indicated that my performance was non-satisfactory with a suggestion to go for a PIP for further improvements. I have already submitted my resignation, which was accepted by everyone on Darwinbox, and I requested early relieving on 1st July, agreeing to a 37-day recovery in lieu of notice.
Questions Regarding PIP and Relieving
Since I am on notice, can I still be placed on a PIP, or will I be relieved on 1st July? Another question is whether this will save me from the PIP, which was suggested after my resignation approval. Will my relieving letter include any statement regarding my unsatisfactory performance, as I am about to join a new company on 7th July? Kindly suggest and help.
