Store Manager Left Without Notice and Inventory Shortages: How Should I Address This?

harish2020
Dear all,

How do I write a notice to the store in charge who has left the organization without any information, and with many shortages found in the store as he has not provided any handover?

Thanks,
HKT

Hi, You need to send a warning letter to the absconded employee stating that "As per our attendance records, you are not reporting to the office with effect from ___ without any information/justification to your superior. You have grossly shirked your responsibilities by staying away from duty without sufficient cause, reason, or information, thereby acting in a manner prejudicial to the interest of the organization. Upon scrutiny of the inventory register maintained by you, it is observed that there seems to be a lot of mismatch between actual stock and the inventory register. You are hereby directed to report to the office and hand over everything properly; failing which severe disciplinary action will be initiated against you."

You may send the warning letter through RPAD and then ascertain the actual stock vis-a-vis the inventory register. If the mismatch is very significant, and if the cost involved is substantial, you can inform the employee that the company might lodge a police complaint as well.

Dear Store In-charge,

We hope this message finds you well. It has come to our attention that you have left the organization without providing any prior information or conducting a proper handover of your responsibilities. This has resulted in several shortages being discovered in the store.

We kindly request you to immediately reach out to us and provide a detailed explanation regarding your sudden departure and the lack of handover. It is crucial for us to understand the situation and address the inventory shortages effectively.

Your prompt response in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

HKT
