Hi Vivek, you should set your goals first. To become a trainer of soft skills, you should read a lot of books on various subjects, including religion, politics, and technical topics. Your English and other language communication skills should be good.

My Career Journey

I started my career as a Steno 52 years ago and joined L&T in 1978 in Delhi after quitting a Central Govt job. I gradually developed my skills in handling leaders both in L&T and in the Central Govt. I had the opportunity to create the HR Department in my business unit when computers were being introduced into organizations. I created templates, formats, etc., and pursued a PG in HRM through distance learning. I actively participated in all training programs, worked diligently with commitment and involvement in all areas, and played the role of HRBP even before the term was coined.

Post-Retirement Activities

Since my retirement in 2011, I have been involved in soft skills training in four languages across India and Gulf countries. I provide HR OD interventions for Indian and Middle Eastern clients. Stay in touch with me. Best wishes.
