Is a law degree beneficial after working as HR in India? Or is a combination of Company Secretary and HR a better option?

A law degree is definitely beneficial, and a sound understanding of law would help in compliance matters and general administration. Knowledge of the Company Secretary course is not complementary to the HR field and has limited utility. Indeed, it is the other way around; a company secretary with HR knowledge would be in a better position to discharge the duties.

If you intend to make your career in HR, a degree in Law would certainly be an added qualification. A company secretary is a totally different field altogether.
