Actually, I am a BTech graduate from the batch of 2014 to 2018 (May), but I completed my BTech degree in 2019 (November). I have been working at a startup company in Bangalore since June 2018.

I am concerned about whether the overlap between my first employment and the delay in completing my BTech degree will affect my Background Verification (BGV) process. I am currently preparing for interviews at TCS.

My total years of work experience now amount to 5 years. However, if TCS considers my start date from when I received my BTech certificate, it would be 3.5 years.

Hi ANONYMOUS, what is important is your actual date of joining (DOJ) the start-up company and the real-time experience gained. A delay in completing the degree wouldn't be an issue.
