Provision of PF for Employees Above 58 Years Old

Is there any provision of PF for not retaining employees above 58 years old?

Hi, there is no age restriction for becoming a member of the Provident Fund. However, an employee who has already attained the age of 58 cannot become a member of the Pension Fund.

Hi, in addition to the above, if PF is not desired by the member, you may remove the employee from the regular payroll and hire him/her as a consultant. In this case, only a retainer fee is to be paid, subject to TDS.

Thank you.
