Facing Legal Trouble for a Fake Experience Letter: How Can I Resolve This?

I had absconded from a startup company after giving my resignation. After one month, I got an offer from another company. Still, after continuously asking for an experience letter, they didn't provide me one, so I made a fake experience letter and submitted it to the new company (but other documents are relevant). During the background verification (BGV), my previous employer mentioned that they would take legal action against me for the forgery. However, I did not put any signatures on the letter or any company stamp.

Also, the letter pad is not current with the Company Act 2013. Please help me to get out of this situation 

Whether the letterhead is up to date or not, it is the property of the company. How did you take possession of it without the employer's knowledge? Never do this in your life.

Now, just wait for your previous employer's next move. Mostly, small companies might not pursue it legally, and just out of moral fear, they might have mentioned it. Better wait and see.

Alternatively, contact your previous employer and submit an apology for not reporting to the office without information and also for submitting a fake certificate.

But I haven't made any signatures or stamps on it.

There are certain criteria that must be followed by both the employer and employee in an employment contract. You should have adhered to the separation clause in your appointment letter, which you have not done. You should have served the notice period. Like other employers, your employer also expected you to comply with the experience letter and other settlement procedures.

You should have provided a written declaration that you would be able to submit the experience certificate within 3-4 months. Your prospective company would have appreciated this. Instead, you created your own experience certificate, which is viewed very seriously by your current and prospective employers.

So, we will not be able to see any way out.

It is not an issue with the current employer because I have already explained my scenario to them, and they are removing my previous experience.

But my question is, is it really an issue that I have not mentioned any name or signature/stamp on the letter pad? The letter pad I have used only contains the name of the company.

Hi, you have used your ex-employer's letterhead without their knowledge and submitted an experience certificate (with or without a signature/seal, that doesn't matter). You tried to present that you were properly relieved, which is fake. When things are obvious, the ex-employer has the right to initiate action. But, as already stated, just wait, as at times, they might ignore it.
