Normally Freelancer Consultants will charge like this.

Being Freelancer Consultant there will not be any written Agreement between you and the Consultant. So please exercise much caution about the job opening referred by the Consultant. Also do understand that even if you were not able to sustain in the employment and leave the job within short period, consultant will not pay back you the money.

Whether the offered job is real or fake you need to check. Go through their website, check Google reviews etc.

I think the post is regarding a recruitment consultancy demanding his fees for the services that he has rendered for the thread starter. Please clarify. It is common to collect one month salary but it will be collected from the employer and not from the employee. But for small job posting, it may also happen that they collect fee from the employee and not from the employer.
