I am writing to request an early release from my current position with the company. I am aware that I committed to the company's terms and conditions regarding the notice period upon my employment. However, certain circumstances have led me to ask for a reduction in my notice period from 30 days to five days.

I have secured a new role as a Business Manager in my hometown that offers a superior salary package. The new employer requires me to commence work within the next five days. I am prepared to compensate for the shortened notice period based on the amount calculated from my most recent salary. My proposed last day with the current company is 01/05/2023.

I want to assure you that I will finalize all outstanding tasks and cooperate fully in transitioning my responsibilities to other team members. I trust you understand my situation, and I look forward to a favorable response, as this transition is crucial for my career advancement.

Notice Period Adjustment

Adjusting the notice period against salary payment is at the discretion of the employer. It depends on your role and responsibilities, as well as the pending work at hand. For the employer, completion of work/project may be more important than the monetary aspect. Therefore, it is advisable to discuss this matter with your HR department to check for its feasibility.
