How Do I Format a Relieving Letter to Include an Employee's Last Drawn Salary?

Hetal Maroliwala
Hi, I've been asked to prepare a relieving letter for an employee, and I should mention his last drawn salary in it. As we will provide it with the salary slip, he has been with the company for 8 months. Please share the formatted relieving letter.

With Regards,
Ms. Hetal

Hi, is he the first employee being relieved from your office? You should have issued a relieving letter for other employees, shouldn't you?

It is strange to note that even for trivial things, templates are requested. A relieving letter should contain the name of the relieved employee, his designation, period of work from... to..., CTC salary per month, and his overall performance rating. That's it.

You can prepare a draft and post it here if needed for correction.

Use ChatGPT for such things—it's much quicker to get such templates. Here's what I got:

[Your Company Letterhead]

[Date]

[Employee Name] [Employee Address]

Dear [Employee Name],

This is to certify that [Employee Name] was employed with [Your Company Name] as [Designation] from [Joining Date] to [Last Working Date].

We confirm that [Employee Name] has resigned from the services of the company on [Last Working Date].

We also confirm that the last drawn salary of [Employee Name] was [Salary Amount] per month.

We wish [Employee Name] all the very best for their future endeavors.

Sincerely [Your Designation] [Your Company Name]
