EPFO's New Steps and Employee Harassment
These are new steps that the EPFO is taking just to harass employees after they suffered a serious blow from the Supreme Court on the higher pension case. Even when there is an official circular that permits employees to continue contributions to the Pension Fund even after 58 years of age, why should they take it so seriously when there was no contribution to the Pension Fund after his actual retirement date?
Writing to EPFO
Anyway, you can write to EPFO that the employee concerned has continued in service even after attaining the age of superannuation as per EPF and MP Act norms, and the employer has contributed to his PF till date. There was no need for any permission letter because our company does not have a policy that every employee shall retire on attaining 58 years of age. The employee was not interested in drawing his pension upon attaining 58 years of age but decided to defer the pension following GSR 440(E) dated 25-04-2016 of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
I am also attaching a copy of the above-said notification.
