Compensation to the Nominee on Death of an Employee Four Months after the Recruitment

If someone dies after 4 months of joining, his nominee will he get any benefit from EPF EDLI, ESIC and LWF ?

As per PF Act 1952, the nominees have to get EDLI benefits, pension as per the Employees Pension Scheme, regular monthly compensation as per ESI Act, and the Labour Welfare Fund benefit as per respective state law.

Yes, his family will be eligible for all these statutory benefits. Check whether there is nomination or not?

@Predatoryogesh1, for the death benefits admissible under the EDLI and Pension schemes of the death need not necessarily be while on job. It is available to death caused not on duty. Of course, for getting Employees Compensation or compensation under the ESI Act, the death should be during the course and arising out of employment. The benefits from labour welfare fund is also similar to that of EPF.
