Statutory benefits details denied by previous employer

One of my staff didn't get the details of PF and ESI from the previous employer as she had resigned from there without completing the exit formalities. This happened because they compelled her to work without salary during the notice period. What should be done to obtain the details from the AC number of PF and ESI?

For ESI, when you try to add a new ESI number, initially, the system may accept it, but the subsequent month, the ESI portal will show you the existing old ESI number. For PF UAN, advise the employee to contact the respective PF office.
