Our payroll processes are outsourced; however, our provider's response is sporadic and reactive, although they do administer benefits in a timely manner.
Challenges in Payroll and Benefits Management
The challenges we are currently facing include:
- Each country has complex language and legislative requirements for payroll and benefits.
- We need to create, document, and maintain work instructions and SOPs for each process within the next 3–5 months.
- We need to change our benefits vendor across these countries to provide proactive solutions and market-competitive information rather than reacting.

My manager has tasked me with preparing a document to standardize payroll and benefits processes across the 6 countries. My action plan includes changing the benefits vendor across these countries to generate better value.
