Feeling Stuck in My HR Role: Can My Experience and MBA Lead to Better Opportunities Next Year?

Suchismita Rajesh Choudhary
I joined a construction company as an HR Executive in October 2022. I am responsible for salary calculation and release, PF calculation and upload on the portal, maintaining all challan and payment receipts on a monthly basis, recruiting (2 CAs, 1 driver, and 1 civil engineer), and introductions. I also organize activities on Saturdays. I try to solve PF-related problems like applying for advances, exit dates, and joining in the portal, etc. Mainly, I handle all of this. Other policies like leave policy and increment policy are not in place. I have suggested implementing these basic policies, but they have not agreed with me so far.

I have 8 years of relevant experience, including back office and admin roles. In 2021, I applied for an MBA, and my last semester will end in June.

My question is, I want to stay in this company for 1 year, and after that, can I get a good opportunity?

Hi, as you joined in October 2022, I suggest you work for a minimum of two years wherever possible. However, if you receive good offers, there is nothing wrong with moving, but frequently changing jobs within a short period is not advisable.
