Stuck in Notice Period Limbo: Can I Legally Push for Early Release from My Job?

editor-ipsrj
I am working at Alembic Pharmaceuticals. I resigned one month ago, and my notice period is three months. In my offer letter, it's mentioned that service can be terminated by either party upon three months' notice period or a three-month basic salary in lieu of the notice period. I am ready to pay the salary, but still, they don't relieve me. My new employer can't wait three months, so is there any legal action by the Court or labor commission which can help me in this matter?

Dear Friend, Request to go and meet the Labor Officer for assistance. They will help you with the proper reasons to provide for why you are leaving the company.

There is no decisive legal action possible that would help you to be relieved as per your need. The only course open to you is to persuade the authorities concerned to agree to your wish.

Hi, it is employer-specific, and please do not constrain the relationship with your employer by going to the Labour Office. Resolve it amicably with your HR.
