Am I Eligible for an EPF Pension with Extended Service Beyond 58 Years? Seeking Guidance

I have joined the EPF Organization at the age of 49. Therefore, I have not completed the mandatory 10 years of EPF service required to qualify for a pension. However, my company has extended my service by 2 years, making it until I reach 60 years of age, under the same service conditions as an employee. This extension brings the total EPF subscription period to 11 years.

Nevertheless, my EPF passbook indicates that the EPS amount of 1250/- has been stopped since I turned 58 years old. My concern now is: Am I still eligible for a pension with my extended service? If so, what steps should I take to secure that pension?

Hi, As per the EPF scheme, an employee shall cease to be a member of EPS from the date of attaining 58 years of age. Before attaining the age of 58 years, if you have contributed to PF/EPS for a minimum of 10 years, then you are eligible for a pension.

Dear Sir, This is for your information: one employee joined EPF and EPS on 25.07.2014 in one company. His EPS eligibility date is 09.08.2020, which means he completed 58 years by the EPF exit date of 24.05.2021. Again, he joined another company on 25.05.2021. He resigned on 31.01.2023, but his application on Form 10D was rejected by the PF team due to the EPS date not being mentioned. However, on the employer portal, the EPS date is not visible.

Dear Sir, This is for your information: One employee joined EPF and EPS on 15.01.2010 in one company. The EPF and EPS exit date was 24.07.2014.

This is for your information: Another employee joined EPF and EPS on 25.07.2014 in one company. His EPS eligibility date is 09.08.2020, meaning 58 years completed. The EPF exit date was 24.05.2021.

Again, he joined another company on 25.05.2021. He resigned on 31.01.2023, but his application on Form 10D was rejected by the PF office due to the EPS date not being mentioned. However, the EPS date is not visible on the employer portal.
