Moonlighting During COVID: Are There Legal Concerns for Past Actions?

Sapna Panwar
Dear All, During the background verification, I discovered that one shortlisted candidate was moonlighting a year ago (during COVID times). They are no longer doing so now. Will this involve any legal obligations? What steps can an organization take against the candidate? Anticipating your kind responses!

Hi, since it is in the past, I suggest it can be ignored. It is better to obtain a proper relieving order from the past employer to safeguard your organization.
