Joining date - the roles what they had promised and the actual roles don't match and will not help me to grow my career

Hello Everyone, I have actually thought of joining in one of the company, They have completed all the necessary onboarding formalities until 4pm on the same day. Later some KT was provided to me but the roles what they had promised and the actual roles don't match and will not help me to grow my career in future, so I have decided and kept a mail to HR the next that I cannot continue in this organization. But interestingly when I tried to check PF member ID today, it is showing their company have created PF member ID keeping my joining date as same. Now I have joined in my core role in one of the reputed company, so as they created New member id , will that effect my current company or will that effect when I retire. Please suggest anyone.

Ask the company from you left on the same day to exit you from PF. If they do not exit, you can exit from that company after logging in to your member portal. Since no money should have gone, the previous employer should have marked exit. Please find it from your portal.

So the company can delete the created member ID. And as an employee if they don't do that keeping exit date by myself will not effect me in future na..

Hi,

Added to the above valid points of Mr.Madhu, as the past company had allotted PF number for you they are likely to close your file after month end salary processing only and they might process 1 day salary for you and will forfeit against notice and also remit 1 day PF with PF office. If they mark exit date by month end there would be a clash between DOJ of your current company with DOL of old company. So better talk to HR and get it clarified.

Normally we follow this process even if employee abscond in 1-2 days, we process salary and close.

Priya,
The company can either delete the id created since there was no salary payout for single day or can keep it and exit on the next day itself. It will be visible to you in your member portal. You can check after a month. If no service history is available, then forget about it. If they have created , then a service history will be available in the portal and then you can take a call to exit it, if the company has not exited you by themselves.

In addition to the valid points made by Mr. Madhu, as your previous employer had assigned you a PF number, it is likely that they will close your file after processing your month-end salary, and they may process one day's salary for you before forfeiting it and remitting one day's PF to the PF office. If they record your word hurdle departure date by the end of the month, there will be a conflict between your present company's Department of Justice and your former employer's Department of Labor.
