Struggling to Find HR Job in the UK: How Can My Husband Overcome Visa and Experience Barriers?

srishti-chaudhary
Hi All, I have moved to the UK from India on an expat role. My husband moved with me on a dependent visa. He has completed his Master's in HR from a top college in India. In India, he has worked with top MNCs like Amazon, P&G, and Reckitt, accumulating more than 5 years of experience. He left his high-paying job to accompany me to the UK. However, since then, he has been receiving almost 5-10 rejections every day from the companies he has applied to.

We are uncertain about what to do next and how to proceed. We are unsure of what might be wrong with his profile. He possesses good global exposure, but we wonder if the lack of UK experience is hindering his job search. Could you please guide us on how to leverage his current experience? Is it challenging to secure a job here with his background? Are there any courses that could enhance his prospects? We are both unfamiliar with anyone here.

Thank you.

He needs to talk to recruiters and headhunters who can assess his experience and skills to see if they can find a fit with any of their clients. They can certainly advise him on what he may need to do to improve his chances.
