ESI Registration Limit: What Happens If You Have More Than 20 Employees?

Dear Seniors, If registration is for 20 persons in ESI and there are more employees, what will happen?

Employees with a monthly gross salary of 21k or less must be covered under the ESIC Scheme within 10 days of joining the organization. Failure to do so will result in non-compliance, and penalties such as contributions and more will be imposed, leading to unnecessary additional financial liabilities for the organization.
