How Can I Get a No Objection Certificate During Probation for a Job Interview?

Santhu91
Sir, I have 10 years of experience in a private organization. Using this 10 years of experience, I was recently selected in a PSU on 7th November 2022. During the joining process, I shared the status of my pending job applications with the PSU. After being with the PSU for 2 months, I received an interview call from another PSU for which I had applied before joining the current PSU. Now, in order to attend the interview, I require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from my present employer. However, the HR at my current PSU informed me that during the probation period, they do not provide any NOCs.

What should I do to obtain the NOC from my current employer?
Can I attend the interview without the NOC since I have my experience certificate from the private organization? Should I inform the interviewer that the reason for not submitting the NOC is due to the current policy at my present organization?

Please advise. Thank you, sir.

Dear Santhu, As you mentioned, did the PSU HR state that no No Objection Certificate (NOC) would be provided during the probation period? Please consult with HR personnel to confirm this in writing if it was communicated. If you adhere to the exit procedure, they should not be able to enforce this. I recommend reviewing the terms and conditions outlined in your appointment letter.

Thank you.
