An employee takes leave without informing to the concerned authorities as a result sandwich leave will be deducted

Hi,

Availing leave without prior information to immediate Superior is a misconduct and employee can be warned for unauthorized leave or mark LWP for the said day. Concept of sandwich leave is different. How you are linking both leave without information with sandwich leave ?

Because he is also on leave on friday

Hi,

If the employee is on leave on from Friday to Monday then you may apply sandwich. If the leave on Friday is without information then

1) either you may warn the employee for unauthorised leave and apply sandwich leave (or)
2) consider leave without information day as leave without pay

It is observed from the Attendance records that your remained absent from duty from___ to ____ and it has been brought to our knowledge by your immediate Superior that you have not obtained prior approval for your leave on___. You are hereby warned and advised to plan your leave well in advance where ever possible and to update your immediate Superior well in advance. As you took leave from___ to___ ; 4 days leave will be deducted from your _____ leave balance (CL/PL)

You are hereby warned and advised to refrain from proceeding on unauthorized leave.
