Struggling to Get My Release Letter: How Can I Resolve This Before Losing My Job?

sankar-ganguly
After working for 7 months as a confirmed employee, I left Sun Knowledge Pvt Ltd. due to medical reasons. After the system pickup, HR sent me an abandonment of employment email. I replied that I had resigned, but received no reply from them. This happened back in September 2021. This year in August, I followed up again regarding my letters and FnF settlement, and I am ready to pay if there is any due. Still, no reply. Now, I'm in TCS, and they are asking me for the service letter. Again, I sent several emails to the ex-employer; however, no reply.

On a phone call, they asked for all the proofs again, and they said they are not sure but will check if they can provide the letter or not. I have no time; one week is left to submit; otherwise, I might lose my job. Super nervous, please help.

Hi, from your message, I presume you haven't served the proper notice period after submitting your resignation, right? After submitting your resignation, you should visit the office and discuss with HR, even if you are not in a position to serve the proper notice period. It seems you are communicating through emails with your ex-employer. It would be better to contact your HR in person and discuss your requirements, expressing your willingness to pay money towards the shortfall in the notice period. It all depends on your negotiating skills.
