Though IR is part of HR, IR management is situational management. That is to say, there will not be any predetermined solution for IR problems. You have to find solutions based on the problems.

I am from Ahmedabad, but I fully agree with @Vmlakshminarayanan. IR is a practical job. Nobody can teach it unless you experience the ground-level reality. How you handle the situation practically defines your skill. Yes, of course, skills can be enhanced and sharpened by day-to-day interaction with various stakeholders.

In my opinion, there is no book that can fully teach the intricacies of interpersonal relationships (IR).
