Feeling Pressured After Resignation: Am I Still Responsible for Client Queries?

sahil-john
Hello Everyone,

I was working in a company that I joined in July and worked until October 8, 2022. In September, I was informed that due to a low-performance issue, my salary would be revised and lowered from 32K to 25K. They promised me that this change would be applicable from the next month. However, on payday, they denied it and said they could offer me a 25K salary for September if I continued working in the organization, or I could resign and receive the 32K as it was.

I agreed to their condition and opted to resign, with my salary to be credited within a 45-day period. I handed over my clients to my manager on my last working day along with all the company assets.

Now, the director of the company is messaging me for client-related queries and using inappropriate language towards me. This situation is affecting my mental health.

Could you please advise me on whether I am still liable to those clients? Also, can I file a complaint if I do not receive my full and final settlement?

Regards,
Sahil

Until the notice period is over, you continue to be an employee and hence must fulfill all the duties and responsibilities of your position. We presume that you resigned and were relieved on October 8th; thereafter, you are not responsible for any work that comes your way. You have already agreed to be paid the full and final settlement within 45 days, so you need to wait until that time.
