Navigating Form 11: Should I Use My Last Job's PF Number Despite Absconding?

Darshan N L
Hi, I joined a new company recently. They are asking me to fill out Form PF Form 11, where I need to provide details of my previous employee PF. I have worked in a total of four companies, but in my last job, I absconded after just 20 days. They generated PF and paid salary for those 20 days because it was a contract job with complete night shifts. I did not inform my new employer about my abrupt departure from the last job. Can I provide the PF number from the job before my last one in Form 11? Or should I provide the PF number from the absconded job?

Hi, it would be better if you provide your last PF number itself (absconding from the company after 20 days will not be an issue) and also your UAN number. Providing incorrect data could be problematic in the future.

Hi Lakshminarayan, I need to provide my absconded company's PF number because I worked there for only 20 days. I was not informed about absconding from the company to my new employer.

Hi, regardless of the number of days paid, a PF number is allotted. I suggest that you provide the PF number for employees who have absconded from the office. What consequences do you predict by providing the same?

In PF Form 11, I need to fill in the last working date at my previous company.

Hi, I don't think this will be an issue. However, you can make your own decision based on the situation.
