Dear Mr. Prem Chanda Yadav, A few days ago, I read an article stating that in 5 years, there will be a 50-60% decrease in demand for HR Professionals due to the emergence of AI in HR. Despite this, I am actively working on enhancing my skills in AI HR to align with future HR trends and vision, continuously updating my knowledge. A successful professional must be ready for the upcoming trends.

Educational Background and Experience
My educational background is in Project Management, and I have accumulated 15 years of experience in Administration and HR departments. I am dedicated to expanding my understanding of Administration and HR further.

Thank you for your kind response.

Regards, Qasim Raza

Mr. Raza, you have understood the future correctly. More and more things will be automated, and others will move to self-service portals. The clerical and traditional work that HR does will be decimated.

The Future of HR Functions
The IR part, involving mediation and ensuring peace and satisfaction, will remain the main course of HR functions.

On the other hand, for AI to be successful, the programmers need domain knowledge that they don't have. So, they will hire HR personnel (experienced ones, or probably those with an MBA in HR) to help them navigate and understand the HR domain. Even if you don't learn programming and software development, you can try to get work in software companies doing HR Software or those working on AI and automation of HR processes, and you will probably find a rewarding career.

Dear Mr. Saswata, Nowadays, HRIS is a routine matter, and every HR professional is working accordingly. I would like to ask about the vision and trends we should focus on and keep an eye on future requirements that may currently be in the research process and implemented in the future. Many new things will take the place of old ones that will vanish. Please guide me accordingly.

Unfortunately, I do not have the answer. You probably need to troll the Google news for research, AI predictions, etc. However, I would say that these companies need domain expertise in HR to be able to achieve it. So, you can look for opportunities.

Predictive Staffing
One area where AI/Big Data is going to advance is predictive staffing. This includes predicting the need for hiring more manpower in line with projected business growth (or contraction) and anticipating manpower shortages due to absence, leave, sickness, etc. Micro-monitoring of employees' work and their lack of focus, especially in a WFH environment, is likely to increase.

If you find more areas, please post back here so we can update ourselves.

I would suggest you set up several Google Alerts based on the questions you are asking. Google will then automatically send you articles and information relevant to your questions as it finds them. That way, you can keep abreast of developments in the AI/HR space. You can tell Google Alerts how often you want to see them, e.g., daily, weekly, etc.
