Employee is contributing to the actual PF wages and has applied for online transfer. The claim was rejected, asking to submit a joint declaration under para 26(6) for higher wage contributions.

Can you please suggest?

Hi,

Under the EPF Scheme of 1952, contributions on wages higher than the statutory wage limit are dealt with under Para 26(6). According to this paragraph, for provident fund contributions on higher wages, a joint option of the employee and employer must be submitted and then accepted by EPFO.

Submit the joint declaration form. After departmental correction, you can proceed with the transfer.

The PF contribution is based on the actual PF wages, which are more than 15,000 and applicable to all employees. When an employee applies for online transfer, the RPFC rejected the claim, asking to provide the joint declaration as per Para 26(6).
